The New Jersey Student Learning Assessment (NJSLA) is a state-mandated assessment for all students taking English Language Arts [Grades 3-9] and Mathematics General Course [Grades 3-8] or Algebra I enrolled in a NJ Public School.
New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE) updated the high school graduation assessment requirements in both English language arts (ELA) and mathematics for the classes of 2023–2025. adopted by the New Jersey State Board of Education on September 8, 2021.
