ATLANTIC CITY – Atlantic City Public Schools held its Spring Convocation on Friday, March 14, 2025, bringing together all district employees at Atlantic City High School to celebrate achievements and fellowship.
Superintendent of Schools, Dr. La'Quetta S. Small, said that it was her privilege to recognize the district’s dedicated staff.
"This annual event is more than a gathering. It is a celebration of the unwavering commitment, passion, and excellence our educators and support staff demonstrate year-round," Dr. Small said. "They are the backbone of our educational system, working tirelessly to provide students with the best possible education while fostering growth, curiosity, and achievement."
Honorees included staff members with 25, 40, and 50 years of service, as well as 2024–25 retirees. Awards were also presented for:
- Teacher of the Year (each school & district-wide)
- Educational Services Professional of the Year (each school & district-wide)
- Exemplary Teacher & Educational Services Professional of the Year
- Principal, Vice Principal, and Director of the Year
- Hidden Gem Awards
- District Maintenance Staff Member of the Year
- Custodian of the Year
- Parent Resource Center Staff Member of the Year
- Safety Officer of the Year
- Human Resources Staff Member of the Year
- Special Education Staff Member of the Year
- Elementary & Secondary Staff Members of the Year
- Title I-IV Staff Member of the Year
- Central Registration Staff Member of the Year
- Information Technology Staff Member of the Year
- Business Department Staff Member of the Year
- Operations Department Staff Member of the Year
- School Secretary of the Year
"This celebration is a reminder of the importance of lifelong learning and professional development in education," Dr. Small added.
Teachers of the Year were among the many staff members honored.
Educational Services Professionals of the Year were also honored during Spring Convocation.
