Mikel Jones had made 10 3-pointers to score a career-high 35 points to lead the Vikings to a 78-42 win over Overbrook. The 10 3-pointers are believed to be a school record as no one connected with the Vikings program could recall a player making more.

Maddie Dischert '23 earns All-MAAC honors
Congratulations to ACHS alumni and Rider University Freshman Maddie Dischert ‘23 who earned All-MAAC and MAAC Most Outstanding Rookie as the Rider University women's cross country team finished fourth at MAAC Championships at The Twin Ponds on the Farm Saturday.

Atlantic City H.S. coaches, players host clinic for Dolphins program
Sah’nye Degraffenreidt started his football career with the Atlantic City Dolphins. The Atlantic City High School standout wide receiver gave back to the youth program Thursday. Degraffenreidt, along with other Vikings players and coaches, hosted the Dolphins Football Camp and Combine at Shellem Royal Field, home of the Atlantic City Dolphins.

EHT, A.C., Holy Spirit, O.C. crews win at States on Saturday
Four area crew teams — three girls and one boys — each had a winner at the Garden State Scholastic Rowing Championships on the Cooper River in Camden County on Saturday. The Atlantic City girls second eight won a three-boat final in 6:09.66, beating second-place Moorestown by 0.21 seconds.

Dischert and the Farrow twins advance to the State Group 4 Indoor Track meet
Congratulations to Darrell Farrow ’23, Ta’Rell Farrow ’23 and Maddie Dischert ’23 for their outstanding performance at the Group 4 Sectional Championship Track meet yesterday in Toms River. Darrell captured 2nd Place in the 400-meter Dash. Brother Ta’Rell finished 5th in the 400 meter dash and ran a personal best time from an unseated heat. Maddie placed 4th in the 3200 meter run.

Late night hoops roundup: Watch Ky Gilliam's buzzer beater give AC win
Ky Gilliam sank a 35-foot, 3-pointer at the buzzer to give the Atlantic City High School boys basketball team a 56-53 win over St. Joseph Academy on Wednesday. The Vikings (9-7) have won five straight. Gilliam scored six of his 10 points in the fourth quarter. Sophomore guard Chris Finks scored a team-high 15 for Atlantic City. Hasanur Rahman Freeman added 14 and Mikel Jones had 10 for the Vikings.

Look who's back: Atlantic City boys basketball team wins third straight game Friday night
The Atlantic City High School boys basketball team is beginning to show signs of life. Sophomore guard Chris Finks scored 14 points as the Vikings won their third straight with a 47-37 win over Middle Township on Friday night. The Vikings, who scored just 13 points in the first game of the season, evened their record at 7-7, under first-year coach Wayne Nelson.
