Four Atlantic City High School students sign their national letters of intent
The Atlantic City High School library was symbolically filled with hope and accomplishment Tuesday afternoon. Four Vikings seniors signed National Letters of Intent to continue their educations and athletic careers on college scholarships.

Local high school boys win Around The Island Swim
The 56th Around The Island Swim was rescued Tuesday by four high school boys, plus four masters swimmers averaging 50 years old. Team Thunderdome — namely James Haney and John Sahl of Atlantic City High School and Patrick Armstrong and Gavin Neal of Ocean City —won the 22.75-mile race’s only division, the four-person relay, in 8 hours, 2 minutes, 51 seconds.

Atlantic City, Ocean City swimmers preparing as relay team for Around The Island Swim in August
The 56th annual Around The Island Swim in Atlantic City on Aug. 9 will have the added attraction of a relay team of area high school swimming standouts. Cape-Atlantic League swimmers James Haney (Atlantic City High School), Patrick Armstrong (Ocean City), Gavin Neal (Ocean City) and John Sahl (Atlantic City) will combine to swim the famed 22.75-mile race around Absecon Island. They call themselves Team Thunderdome.

James Haney named to Press 2021-22 Boys Swimming All-Star team
The sophomore was an outstanding all-around swimmer and a repeat first-team Press All-Star who led the Vikings to a 7-4 mark.
