My name is Ernest M. Cheatham and I am honored and humbled to have been selected for Teacher of the Year at Atlantic City High School. I am a native of Atlantic City and a product of the Atlantic City Public School system. I am presently the Art and 3D Animation teacher at ACHS. I have been working, as an educator for the lasts 18 years. I hold several New Jersey State Standard Certifications including Art Education, Students with Disabilities, and Supervisor. In 1983, I received my Bachelor of Art Degree, Art & Design from Glassboro State College, Glassboro, New Jersey. In 2008, I earned my Masters of Art from Phoenix University Online, Phoenix Arizona and in 2014, received my Supervisor certification from Seton Hall University, New Jersey. My teaching philosophy is very simple; students do not care how much you know, until they know how much you care. Once students know I care, then they open up their hearts and minds and I can teach them.
