Mr. Jonathan Rivera was born in Galloway Township, but was raised most of his life in Weymouth Township, NJ. Jonathan attended Oakcrest High School and graduated in 2004. Jonathan has been a guidance counselor for seven years with five of those years being at Atlantic City High School. Jonathan currently holds the position of School Counselor. Atlantic City’s diverse school population has also allowed Jonathan the unique opportunity to serve and prepare students from all types of backgrounds. Jonathan attended Rowan University and graduated with a Bachelors in Biological Sciences. He further continued his education and obtained a master’s degree in School Counseling (K-12). Currently, Jonathan is a PhD candidate in the field of Psychology. Jonathan is also a licensed professional counselor in the state of NJ and provides intensive individual counseling for at risk youth in Atlantic County. Being an advocate and educator for the students and families of Atlantic City High School has been a great honor for him.
