2021-2022 Community Reporter Fellowship

We are excited to announce that SOAC is now accepting applications to join our first-ever Community Reporter Fellowship! The Fellowship is a 7-month civic education and journalism skill-building program, training community members to provide better access to critical local information. Members of our cohort will be trained to report on important local meetings and events and will earn a stipend for their work. 

We at SOAC understand that accurate information sharing is critical to our democracy. Our goal is to fill in the gap where traditional journalism methods are not meeting the larger Atlantic City community’s information needs.

Applications will be accepted until 11:59pm on Monday, October 18th. 

SAVE THE DATE: Stories of AC will be hosting an information session for the fellowship on Saturday, October 16th from 10:30am- 11:30am. Those who are considering applying to the Fellowship are STRONGLY ENCOURAGED to attend.
