SAT Peer Tutoring
All SAT Prep sessions are free for Atlantic City High School Students. An 8 keen program to support you for test prep! Sign up now through April 24. The one hour sessions are 2-3 times a week for 8 weeks. To get started login to your Clever account select FEV Tutor and create your schedule.

ACHS Viking News - March 2024
In this March edition of Viking News, three ACHS athletes sign their college letters of intent. One of those athletes just won a state championship in swimming. The Robotics club makes an impressive debut in the state tournament and our seniors start making their college choices. Plus we look ahead to Battle by the Beach and look back at SEL Friday.

Seal of Biliteracy Students Announced
The Seal of Biliteracy is an award given by a school, district, or state in recognition of students who have studied and attained proficiency in two or more languages by high school graduation. Atlantic City High School had 13 students awarded this year.

Coast Guard helicopter visits Atlantic City JROTC students
Members from the local U.S. Coast Guard Air Station flew 9½ miles in an orange Dauphin 2 helicopter from the FAA William J. Hughes Technical Center in Egg Harbor Township to the high school to visit students in the program.

Robotic Team setting Records!
The Atlantic City High School Robotics team broke a state record in their inaugural season. The team scored 212 points, which won the award for the Highest Match Score by an Alliance at the January 14th competition in Egg Harbor Township. This is the second time the team has won this award, beating their previous high score set on October 29th in Williamstown.

Spongebob Musical Auditions
Auditions for the Spongebob Musical will be on Wednesday January 17th in J100 at 2:20 pm. Please bring a short monologue and a song to sing a cappella or with instrumental musics. Email lbecker@acboe.org with questions.

Red Cross Blood Drive
ACHS will be hosting our annual blood drive in the gym next week on Wednesday, 1/17, from 8am - 1pm. Students will be given their pass to go donate during their 1st period (1st block on 1/17) class.

Become a BigFuture Ambassador
High school students can apply now to become a BigFuture Ambassador at their school. BigFuture Ambassadors step up and lead by helping other students plan for life after high school. Deadline to apply is January 19th.

In December's holiday edition of Viking News, students tell us who is the toughest person to shop for among their family and friends. They also tell us what gift they want the most. We'll also take you on a college tour of six HBCU universities and have a story on arguably the best swimmer in school history. Plus our students and staff give their New Year's resolutions.

Academic Challenge Club competes in State-Wide Competition
Academic Challenge Club attended the Long Island Quiz Bowl on December 16th in Livingston, NJ. It is a National Tournament where clubs from NJ, NY and PA were represented. Over 65 teams competed, making it the largest LIQB yet! Members included Co-Captain Nurpak Hossain '24, Captain Zarif Ahanaf '24, Muhtasin Sadik '24, Fajar Bano '26 and Ieshaa Khan '24.

Key Club Winter Coat Drive
Key Club is collecting new socks, and new or gently-used winter coats, hats, and mittens for community members in need this winter! Donations must be washed clean and free from rips and stains! Bring your donations to the collection boxes outside the main office to earn service hours and help your class win the Class Competition prize!

Howard University College Tour
Join the ACYS for a college tour on December 7th, 2023 Howard University. This trip is open to Atlantic City residents in grades 9th-12th with priority to 11th-12th graders. Lunch and transportation will be provided. There are only a few slots left.

Signup for the ASVAB today!
Students can sign up for the ASVAB that will be administered on Monday, December 18, 2023 at 8:15am. The exam will be given to the first fifty (50) students who complete the form. Students must use their Chromebook to take the exam and will be given in C218.

Tai Chi and Qigong Lessons
Tai Chi and Qigong Lessons Join the Atlantic City Public School Title I Parent Resource Center for Simple E2 Movements Non-Contact/Low Impact Exercises (Tai Chi and Qigong) on Tuesday nights from 6:00PM - 7:00 PM at the Dr. Martin L. King Jr. School Complex. Open to ages 6 and up. Classes begin 11/28.
