Employment with Atlantic City Public Schools
Applications for all positions, other than substitute, athletic coach and volunteer, must be submitted online.
Applicants for a certified position must also upload a certificate and transcript.
Candidates who receive a conditional offer of employment are required to obtain a satisfactory background check and be screened for the usage of controlled dangerous substances as they are defined in N.J.S.A. 2C:35-2.
Substitute Teaching:
To substitute teach in any Atlantic City Public School you must be an employee of Education Support Services (ESS).
Substitute Positions (other than teaching):
Atlantic City Public Schools also employs substitutes for the following areas:
* School Nurse
* Secretary/Clerical
* Custodian
* Safety Officer
Substitute positions are on call, on an as-needed basis. Work is not guaranteed. Applications are available in the Human Resources Department.
